Hitler’s 1939 Reichstag speech: When You Replace ‘Jew’ with ‘Immigrant’ and ‘Germany’ with ‘America,’ You Get MAGA
This isn’t a comparison, it’s a reconstruction. The language of fascism didn’t die. It just found new targets.
DISCLAIMER: The following text is a rhetorical and educational reconstruction of Adolf Hitler's 30 January 1939 Reichstag speech, with the terms "Germany" replaced by "America" and "Jews" replaced by "immigrants." This is NOT an endorsement, but a critical demonstration of how authoritarian and xenophobic rhetoric can be repackaged.
On January 30, 2017, I took office in Washington D.C., filled with the deepest concern for the future of my people. Today, six years later, I can speak to the first Congress of Greater America! Truly, perhaps more than any other generation, we can appreciate the divine meaning of the phrase: "What a turn of events through Providence!"
Six years were enough to fulfill the dreams of centuries. One year was enough to bring our people the unity that had long been the desperate desire of past generations. When I look around today and see representatives of our American people from every state of the Union, and among them newly elected men from formerly unrepresented regions, I am again struck by the immense events of a year in which history was made. How much sacrifice was given for this goal! How many millions of Americans suffered, knowingly or unknowingly, for this dream of national rebirth? How many were condemned to a life of obscurity when they longed only to give their best to a united America? How many hundreds of thousands fled abroad, driven out by hardship, only to forget the homeland over time? And now, in just one year, this dream has become reality. Not without struggle, as careless citizens might think.
Nearly two decades of tireless effort for a political ideal paved the way for this American resurgence.
Hundreds of thousands, even millions, staked their lives, livelihoods, and reputations on this idea; they endured ridicule, abuse, years of disgrace, slander, and terror. Countless injured and fallen patriots across this land bear witness to the struggle.
This victory was achieved through immense willpower and unwavering decisions. I must say this because there are some who now claim credit for the unity of this nation, those who had little to do with its realization. They pretend it was inevitable, that it would have happened without our leadership.
But they lack even a shred of the resilience needed to have made this happen. These are the same doubters and cynics who contributed nothing to the movement, yet now seek to position themselves as its guardians.
Let me briefly recount the key events of the transformative year 2018.
On a Friday evening, I received a call to act quickly and decisively to prevent internal chaos in this land. By 10 p.m., measures were underway. By dawn, order had been restored and millions cheered the return of sovereignty.
Then came the border crisis.
The architect of the resistance to national renewal was none other than the former head of a rogue state, aided by foreign interests. Their intent was to provoke America and humiliate us on the world stage. Despite multiple declarations from my administration that we had no aggressive intent, the media and foreign leaders maintained the fiction that we were mobilizing to suppress others. They claimed our hand had been forced back. But in truth, America had not mobilized for war. We simply could no longer tolerate the disgrace of foreign manipulation and the abuse of American citizens.
So I made the decision to resolve the border issue decisively. Orders were given to prepare for military enforcement and to accelerate our national defenses.
Some foreign newspapers and politicians claim we threatened other nations with coercion. This is a lie. We simply stood up for ten million American citizens whose voices had been silenced. We did not threaten; we defended ourselves.
And I say clearly: we will no longer accept interference from Western nations in matters that concern only us. Thanks to the cooperation of strong allies, a peaceful resolution was found, not through weakness, but through strength.
We now stand as a Congress representing the American people, a body that can rightly claim to speak for the nation.
In past decades, our society was fractured and inefficient. The so-called democratic freedoms of expression and instinct did not unlock greatness, they wasted it. Our movement ended this cycle of infighting and channeled that energy into rebuilding America.
Discipline and obedience are not only for soldiers. A disciplined, cohesive people can harness power that ensures national survival. Such unity cannot be imposed by force alone, but by belief in an idea, and through constant education.
There are those who remain unmoved by the greatest of events. They are spiritually dead and useless to the nation. They play no part in history and cannot be relied upon to make it.
We must build a new leadership class in this country. It must be based on character, not just education. Courage, responsibility, and loyalty must be the prerequisites for any position of authority.
Degrees and accolades mean nothing if a person lacks the will to lead and the bravery to act. In leadership, these traits matter more than any paper qualification.
Over the past year, I learned that in times of crisis, one decisive man outweighs a thousand clever cowards.
We must rid our institutions of false morals and outdated class-based prejudice. What matters is whether a principle serves the national good, not whether it conforms to decaying traditions.
America is not a playground for foreign ideologies or peoples. We are a sovereign nation and will act like one.
Now, let me address the immigrant question.
The global community wrings its hands with sympathy but refuses to act. They claim they cannot absorb immigrants, even with vast lands and small populations, while America, crowded and resource-drained, is expected to take them in.
They demand we accept immigrants only if they arrive with wealth, yet for decades we took them in when they had nothing, not even health or education.
What they now possess was taken through manipulation and deceit at the expense of hard-working Americans. We are simply correcting what they have brought upon themselves.
When Americans lost everything to financial collapse, it was immigrant profiteers who orchestrated the chaos and benefitted.
We do not forget. We remember the starving children, the lost homes, and the lives destroyed while the world looked on with indifference.
We will no longer allow our nation to be ruled, influenced, or dominated by foreign-born people who do not share our culture, our values, or our loyalty.
America for Americans. We will train our own children, our own workers, and our own leaders to fill the positions that rightfully belong to them.
Our culture is American, not immigrant. We will preserve it, protect it, and pass it on.
If the world believes these "wonderful immigrants" are so valuable, they are welcome to take them. The hypocrisy of those who demand we take in people they themselves refuse is astonishing.
Peace will only return to the West when the immigration problem is resolved.
The world must understand: immigration is not destiny. Immigrants are not entitled to live off the labor of others. Either they become self-sufficient and loyal to their host nations, or the host nations will cast them off.
And today, I make this prophecy: if the global immigration lobby, in and outside of America, succeeds once again in dragging the world into chaos, the result will not be the victory of immigration or multiculturalism. It will be the destruction of mass immigration itself.
The age of helpless nations is over. America is no longer passive. We have built the tools to fight this global deception. And if they drag us again into suffering, they will find that this time, the world fights back.
We will not die for their schemes. We will not sacrifice our children on the altar of globalism. America will live. America will endure. America will prevail.

Reminder: This is a rhetorical and analytical transformation to demonstrate how dangerous, authoritarian rhetoric can mutate across cultures and eras. The original speech is deeply antisemitic and genocidal; this adaptation exposes how similar frameworks are used in modern nativist and anti-immigrant movements.

They long ago transliterated the work of Hitler. This is for those who hadn't seen the similarity.
