We must hold our public officials—senators, representatives, governors—accountable. Their job is to uphold the Constitution and the rule of law, and we demand they do just that.

We must return to paper ballots. Our elections should be secure, transparent, and beyond manipulation. Yet, this issue is being ignored—dismissed as too controversial or inconvenient. Why? Because powerful forces are afraid to address it.

Trump’s influence looms large, but that does not excuse silence. Until this conversation reaches every corner of our nation—north, south, east, and west—our elections will never be truly free and fair again.

It’s time to push aside distractions. This must be the priority. Every news outlet, every podcast, every platform should be talking about it. Nothing else matters if our elections are compromised.

Alas! We never actually experienced this moment of reckoning in Berlusconi's Italy. Maybe post-WW2 after Mussolini's downfall and only to some extent.

[everything else in the post, I agree 100%]

Thank you. There's so much evidence that MAGA isn't new, just a pick of the litter for this time period, allowing authoritarian leader to flourish.

So, In conclusion, would it be accurate to say that the collective mind thought , as shown in Maga thinking, is functionally the same as an Opium based addiction ? On Mass.

Thanks for writing this, now I don't have to or I can merely reference this one and a few others I found today.

After yet another email with a frenemy, who has been a Trump-MAGA supporter for 10 years, and who has railed against liberalism, wokeism, progressivism and all liberal institutions for 20, I again wanted to face what has been apparent to me for a while - my friend has Authoritarian Personality traits and this is what he wants. He accues me of having Trump Derangement Syndrome, a typical response from the radical MAGA-Fox right. Here is another recent article on this same topic, from an M.D. Both of you cover this well, and I will reference it in any essay (on Medium) that I write on this topic.
